Medicare
For individuals eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) (developed by a GP or psychiatrist), rebates for a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year (January - December) can be accessed. A re-referral from your GP/psychiatrist is required after sessions 6 and 10.
Further information regarding Mental Health Care Plans and Medicare rebates may be accessed here.
A few points regarding Medicare referrals:
- MHCPs do not expire; a re-referral letter (not a MHCP Review) is required after sessions 6 and 10.
- A new MHCP or formal MHCP Review is only required in the unlikely circumstance that there is a significant change in the patient's presentation.
- Re-referral letters can be carried over to the new calendar year; a new referral letter is not required at the start of the new calendar year if sessions remain on the current referral letter.
Please note I do not provide services to clients:
- accessing psychology services though a Medicare Eating Disorder Management Plan;
- accessing psychology services through NDIS; or
- seeking ADHD/ADD/ASD assessment and/or treatment.
Private Health
As all insurers differ, clients are encouraged to contact their insurer to enquire about eligibility for psychology services.
A receipt will be issued for claiming purposes.
TAC & WorkCover
I am registered to provide psychology services for TAC and WorkCover clients.
